For years we have been connecting students, alumni, and supporters of III High School in Gdynia. Through SAGT events and initiatives, we build bonds between graduates from different years and support their cooperation in social, business, academic, and cultural fields. We also support current students by offering scholarships and mentoring.
The association was founded on 25 December 2012 during a traditional alumni meeting known as the “Reunion.” There were 11 founders, all graduates from the classes of 2005 and 2006. The special guest of the event was the long-time principal of III High School in Gdynia, Wiesław Kosakowski, which led to close cooperation with the school in the following years.
The creation of the association was simply a formalization of an existing phenomenon of alumni integration. From the first months after graduation, alumni from different cohorts were organizing informal meetings and cooperating in academic, business, and social areas. Over time, the need arose to bring together graduates who had not had the chance to meet at school. This is how SAGT was created.

In my work for SAGT, I care about giving back a part of what I once received. “Trójka” prepared me for later life — both for my studies and for my subsequent work as a lawyer in an international law firm.
During my high school years, I lacked direct contact with someone who could share their academic and professional experience with me. That is why the mentoring program was created within SAGT — to enable others to make more informed decisions about their development as early as possible.
Finally, high school gave me wonderful friends. “Trójka” is one large community of people, and bringing them together through the Association’s events is a true pleasure for me.
Poland has one of the lowest levels of social trust in Europe, as well as a limited degree of social mobility. SAGT is a place where we try to gradually address both of these issues.
We are building a community of like-minded people who exchange experiences and information. We help younger colleagues make important decisions, and we recognize academic and social achievements through a scholarship program and by supporting initiatives of the Parents’ Council.
We also strive to be inclusive — if someone has good connections with “Trójka” alumni and shares our mindset, I would like to involve them in our initiatives. Building social trust, helping with life choices, and developing the school community are the reasons I support and engage in SAGT.
In December 2012, together with old friends from high school, we founded an alumni association of our school. For many of us—“Trójka” graduates—Gdyńska Trójka is about sentiment, memories, and friendships that last a lifetime.
After one, five, ten, or twenty years since leaving the school building on Legionów Street, we meet again. We reminisce about school days and get to know other “Trójka” alumni, both older and younger, all with fascinating life stories. We meet not only in the Tricity area, but also at university, at conferences, during job interviews, on planes on the way home for the holidays, or on vacation—and sometimes by chance, on the other side of the world.
Regardless of the circumstances, we stick together. We support one another. We also help current students of the high school by offering advice and providing financial support through scholarships. This unity among all “Trójka” alumni — regardless of age, profession, or place of residence — motivates me enormously to work for the Gdyńska Trójka Alumni Association.
I joined the III High School Alumni Association in Gdynia in 2020, after graduating from the school in 2018. As part of my work in SAGT, what gives me the greatest satisfaction is the opportunity to contribute to strengthening the alumni community and seeing the tangible effects of supporting students through mentoring and internship programs.
Privately, I am interested in alpinism and climbing, which teach me perseverance and consistency in pursuing goals.
I joined the III High School Alumni Association in Gdynia in 2019. I graduated from III LO in 2022, and I joined the SAGT Board in 2023. In my work for the association, what gives me the greatest satisfaction is co-creating initiatives that bring alumni together, working on event organization, and having a real impact on the development of projects supporting students and younger colleagues.
